St Philip’s operates a robust Assessment Centre Process for the recruitment and selection of new staff.
This normally entails assessing a group of candidates, at the same time and place, using a range of different exercises. Young people from the school will often be involved in this process.
Our procedures for safe recruitment also include confirmation of an enhanced certificate from the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG Scheme). This helps to ensure that new staff coming into the school do not have a known history of harmful behaviour.
