St Philip’s provides specialist day education for young people who have had poor experiences of mainstream school.
We provide access to the National Curriculum, day care and a wide range of additional supports to young people and their families.
We offer available places to all interested Local Authorities, with referrals coming primarily from Psychological Services. In practice, most of our young people tend to travel from those areas closest to the school.
The main focus for Day Service staff is to sustain young people in their education programme throughout the school day.
We aim to broaden our present service beyond some limited family work and a structured respite facility during the school holidays.
We also plan to enhance our service by providing additional options on request and costed for Local Authorities, in respect of family support, psychological assessment and extra curricular activities for young people.
